Chalcogenide Glass

Chalcogenide glass is a new type of infrared lens material. Compared with traditional infrared Ge single crystal materials, chalcogenide glass has advantages such as lower raw material cost (less than one-third the cost of Ge lenses), higher processing efficiency (suitable for precision molding), a lower thermo-optic coefficient of refractive index, and the ability to operate within a wide temperature range from -40°C to 70°C.
