ZnS is a chemically inert material with high purity, insoluble in water, moderate density and easy processing. It is widely used in the fabrication of infrared windows, fairings and infrared optical elements. Like ZnSe, ZnS MS is also a material with good refractive index uniformity and consistency, and has good image transmission performance. The material also has a high transmittance in the mid infrared band. Compared with ZnSe, ZnS MS has high hardness, high breaking strength and strong resistance to harsh environments.
